COURSE DESCRIPTION
Business transactions can be fertile sources of torts as difficulties arise in either the negotiation or consummation of an agreement. Accusations of bad faith, misrepresentation or even fraud are commonplace as the parties become disappointed about the course or outcome of a deal. This program will provide transactional attorneys with a practical guide to common business torts, discuss how they arise in the life cycle of a transaction or in employment, explain key elements of each tort, and provide best practices for shielding your clients form liability or asserting their rights.
