Speaker:

James Pooley is Special Counsel in the Menlo Park, California office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP, where represents clients as lead counsel and strategic adviser in high stakes patent and trademark disputes.  He has broad litigation experience, has served in executive business capacities, and as an international diplomat focused on intellectual property.  He was a driving force behind the adoption of the Digital Trade Secrets Act, including when he was invited to testify before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee about the then-proposed law.  He has served as Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Law Association, president of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and chair of the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
